The Miracle SCB series 11kV cast resin dry transformer is an automatic casting process under vacuum with thin insulating strips. The core is made from high permeability grain-oriented silicon sheet and cast with epoxy resin. The high and low voltage windings are cast under vacuum, ensuring that the coil will not absorb moisture. The insulating materials in the coil, such as glass fibre, are self-extinguishing and will not cause fire from the arc resulting from a short circuit.
Furthermore, the resin does not produce toxic or harmful gases at high temperatures. Additionally, HV windings can be insulated by an interlayer film pre-impregnated with heat-activated epoxy resin. The ends of the windings are protected and insulated with Class F materials. With outstanding resistance to harsh industrial atmospheres, excellent dielectric strength and very good resistance to short circuit conditions, they are ideal for industrial and commercial use.
